Information we process

Why Believe does not require you to create a conventional named account to use the App. You can browse questions, read answers and use core features without providing information such as your name or email address.

Where you choose to purchase a subscription, we process purchase and subscription information as described below. Standard technical information — such as device type, operating system version, app version and general diagnostic data — may also be processed as a normal part of operating app infrastructure, app stores and hosting for this website, even though we do not use this to build a profile of you personally.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions purchased on iOS are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment details directly, and we do not receive or store your full payment card information.

We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to manage subscription entitlements — that is, to determine which features you have access to based on your purchase. RevenueCat may receive purchase and subscription information (such as transaction and renewal details) along with an app or user identifier needed to associate your entitlement with your device or app installation. This identifier is not a named account and is not used to identify you personally by name.

Purchase history is used to provide app functionality (such as unlocking premium content you've paid for) and to understand app usage and performance through analytics. Purchase history is not used for advertising tracking, and the App does not currently contain third-party advertising.

Third-party services

We rely on a limited number of third-party service providers to operate the App and this website, including:

• Apple App Store — for app distribution and processing iOS payments.
• RevenueCat — for managing subscription purchases and entitlements, as described above.
• Hosting infrastructure — standard hosting providers used to serve this website and, where applicable, backend services the App relies on.

These providers process information on our behalf, or as independent processors of your transaction (as with Apple), and are subject to their own privacy practices.

How information is used

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, maintain and improve the App and this website.
• Manage subscription entitlements and confirm access to premium features you've purchased.
• Understand general app usage and performance so we can fix problems and make improvements.
• Respond to support requests you send us directly.

Data sharing

We do not sell your information. We share information only with the service providers described above, to the extent necessary for them to perform their function (such as processing a payment or managing a subscription entitlement), or where required by law.

Data retention

We and our service providers retain purchase and subscription information for as long as needed to provide the App's functionality, maintain accurate records, and comply with legal and accounting obligations. Because the App does not use conventional named accounts, there is typically no separate profile to delete beyond the records associated with a subscription.

Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information processed in connection with the App and this website. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Why Believe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Your choices and rights

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding information about you, such as the right to request access to or deletion of certain information. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, this website, or applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we make changes. Continued use of the App or this website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
