Informational and educational content

Why Believe provides content exploring questions related to Christian faith, including answers, reasoning, evidence, Scripture references, objections and sources. This content is provided for informational and educational purposes to support your own investigation and reflection. It is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, academic scholarship you conduct directly, or professional advice of any kind.

While we aim for content to be accurate, thoughtful and fair to different perspectives, we do not guarantee that all information in the App is complete or free of error. Sources referenced in the App reflect a range of scholarship and viewpoints, and inclusion of a source does not necessarily mean we endorse every claim within it.

Subscriptions and billing

Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription. Subscription pricing, billing frequency and available plans are presented in the App prior to purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period, in accordance with the terms of the app store through which you subscribed.

Apple and App Store purchases

If you purchase a subscription through the iOS App Store, that purchase is billed and processed by Apple and is subject to Apple's own terms and conditions, including its refund policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and request a refund, through your Apple account settings.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
• Copy, reproduce or redistribute Service content beyond your own personal, non-commercial use, except as permitted below.
• Use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of others.

Intellectual property

The App, this website, and their content, design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

Third-party services and sources

The Service may reference, link to, or rely on third-party services and sources, including payment and subscription infrastructure such as Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, and external sources cited within app content. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of third-party services or sources, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal or operational reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we make changes. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
