Why should I believe Christianity instead of Buddhism or Hinduism?

Buddhism and Hinduism are actually families of many different traditions, so it's hard to compare either one to Christianity as if it were a single, simple thing. Still, some big differences stand out.

Most forms of Buddhism don't center on a Creator God at all. The Buddha taught a path out of suffering by realizing that nothing—including your own sense of self—stays permanent. Hinduism includes belief in one underlying divine reality alongside many gods, plus reincarnation: being born again into new lives based on your karma, until final release.

Christianity teaches something different: one personal Creator God, one earthly life followed by judgment rather than endless rebirths, and salvation received as a gift rather than earned through spiritual effort.

These aren't minor details. They shape what a person actually is, what's wrong with the world, and what fixes it—worth thinking through honestly rather than assuming every path quietly leads to the same place.
