How do I know what God wants me to do with my life?

Most of what God wants from you is already stated plainly in the Bible, and it doesn't require guessing: how to treat people, what to value, the kind of character to build. That's settled territory, not a mystery to decode.

Specific decisions—which job, where to live, which path to take—are usually left to wisdom rather than a single hidden right answer you have to find. Scripture tells you to ask God for wisdom directly, and expects you to use good judgment, honest counsel, and your own God-given interests and abilities.

That's different from believing every choice has one secretly correct option, and picking wrong means you've permanently missed God's plan. Most decisions have more than one good path available.

Waiting for a certain sign before acting can become its own trap. Pray, ask people who know you well, weigh it honestly, and move. Wisdom, not decoding, is usually what's actually being asked of you.
