What if I'm only a Christian because I was raised that way?

The fact that your upbringing shaped what you believe doesn't tell you whether what you believe is true.

That's not a dodge. It's just how belief formation works for everyone. Every atheist, Muslim, and Christian was shaped by family, culture, and circumstance. If "you only believe this because of how you were raised" disqualified a belief, it would disqualify every belief anyone has ever held—including the belief that religion is false.

So the real question isn't where your faith came from. It's whether it's actually true.

That means you're free to test it rather than simply inherit it. Has anyone actually shown Christianity's central claims—that God exists, that Jesus rose from the dead—to be false? Or have you mostly just stopped feeling the pull of a familiar tradition?

Examining an inherited belief honestly doesn't require rejecting it. It requires actually looking at it.
